A Night Market in the Hotel Courtyard — True Luxury
On a Friday night in Seoul, seeking a break from the hustle and bustle, the word “night market” typically evokes images of noise and chaos. But the Poporo Night Market was something entirely different.
Neatly arranged tables with black tablecloths, elegant lamp lighting, and handcrafted chicken skewers that tasted like they were made by a hotel chef. It was hard to believe this level of quality cost only KRW 12,000.
The soft glow from beneath the beer glasses elevated the atmosphere to something truly upscale. And the free smiley balloons handed out throughout the venue were small but delightful gifts.

A Real Festival with Varied Offerings and Live Performances
The night market started from the luxurious hotel entrance and seamlessly extended to a small stage, photo zones, and food trucks. A mini concert by a lesser-known K-POP artist took place on the stage, with live music perfectly complementing the dining experience.
Although I arrived a bit late and the stage was already being dismantled, even the fading lights left a lingering impression. For some, it must have been an unforgettable night.

A Satisfying Menu and Atmosphere
The Poporo Night Market menu went beyond simple street food — it felt like a mini hotel buffet.
- Pepperoni Firewood Pizza: KRW 12,000
- Handmade Chicken Skewers: KRW 12,000
- Seafood Stew: KRW 15,000
- Charcoal Grilled Pork Belly: KRW 20,000
- Cube Steak (with vegetables): KRW 20,000
- Charcuterie (ham + cheese + fruit): KRW 20,000
Personally, the charcuterie with a glass of beer was the perfect combo. The harmony of cheese and fruit on crackers, followed by a refreshing sip of beer, was just what I needed to unwind.

A Crowd of All Kinds
The visitors to the market were diverse — local office workers from the Digital Complex, foreign tourists, friends, and couples. The crowd was just right — lively but not overcrowded — and most attendees were either nearby employees or foreign visitors. It was a pleasant, relaxed atmosphere where everyone enjoyed the night market at their own pace.
The image of a woman holding a smiley balloon and smiling brightly showed that this event was not just about food and sights, but also about warm, human connection.
